Turtle Head Island is an extremely remote island located in the
Torres Straits between Australia and Papua New Guinea at the
tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland, Australia.
The farm is the salt water bay where the legendary Escape River meets the
Coral Sea. The location has extremely clean water containing
high levels of the pearl oysters’ favourite sources of food. South
Sea pearls are harvested after a minimum of two and sometimes
three years of growth creating a unique satiny lustre that can
only be found in Australian South Sea Pearls. |
