Queensland South Sea Pearls (QSSP) had the great fortune to own and operate the largest pearl farming operation in Far North Queensland Australia for almost a decade. The farm actually has over 60 years of history. Now the Company is offering to sell Australian South Sea Pearls and Australian South Sea Pearl jewellery such as earrings, necklaces, pendants and strands directly to customers.
Every one of our South Sea Pearls was grown on this remote farm by us and comes directly to you, the customer. With this unique opportunity we are able to offer the highest quality products at truly competitive prices. These South SeaPearls, produced from cultivating
the pearl oyster Pinctada Maxima, are the most exclusive and sought after pearls in the world gem markets, desired for their lustre, size and colour.
The farm where we grew our South Sea Pearls is the salt water bay where the legendary Escape River meets the Coral Sea, near Turtle Head Island. Turtle Head Island is an extremely remote island located in the Torres Straits between Australia and Papua New Guinea at the tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland, Australia.
As you can imagine the location has extremely clean water containing high levels of the pearl oysters’ favourite sources of nourishment. Our South Sea pearls were harvested after a minimum of two and sometimes three years of growth creating a unique satiny lustre that can only be found in Australian South Sea Pearls.
Thank you for visiting our website - We hope you enjoy the experience and our pearls!
